All these problems can simply be solved if you buy travel insurance before you start your trip. Buying Travel Insurance Policy is very important so that you are safe and secure in a foreign land and you don’t have to face inconvenience due to unpredictable and unavoidable circumstances.
There are some particular countries that don’t allow tourists/passengers without a valid travel insurance policy. When you visit a foreign country and you don’t know the language, you feel helpless when you have to face the problems mentioned below alone.
Problem 1- Baggage Loss
This is common for airlines lose luggage of their passengers which leave the passengers in distress. Without their baggage, how could they start their trip?
Always keep a pair of fresh clothes, your medicines, if you are on medication in your handbag so that you have your basic essentials by your side in this unfavorable situation. Always put your name tag with your information on your suitcases so that when your luggage is found by the airlines, they could easily send it to you.
If you’re traveling solo, don’t trust strangers to keep an eye on your luggage so that you can use the washroom.
Problem 2-Cancelled or Delayed Flights
Nobody wants to face this situation and be stranded at an airport. First, the flights get delayed then it gets canceled. This is such a waste of time which is so damn annoying.
Make sure to contact your airline in advance and check the flight status. You can do this online or you can download their app so and track your flight very easily. This would be very helpful to know if you need to make any changes in your itinerary or not.
Problem 3-Lost Wallet or Passport
It is quite common for people to lose their wallets or misplace their passports. This is a worse situation to be in as it could leave you stranded in a foreign country as an anonymous person who has no money. In such situation, your local embassy will come to rescue you.
It is a smart option to keep a photocopy of your identity proof and passport while you are traveling. The photocopies will act as a backup. It is very important to keep the photocopies separately from the originals so that you don’t lose originals as well as the photocopies.
As a backup, keep some cash stocked in your bag so that if your wallet is stolen, you still have some amount of cash in your hand.
