Digha is situated in Medinipur district of West Bengal. Roughly 187 km from Kolkata, Digha is a high-voltage option for an exciting holiday. Originally known as Beerkul, Digha was found by the British in the 18th century. Digha was mentioned as the Brighton of the East on a letter by that time Governor-General to his wife.
